Lana Del Rey

I don't normally blog about music but this is so beautiful. Hauntingly intriguing with a raspy voice. Paired with a gorgeous singer, with enviable lips and legs.
I just had to share this gem. This 24 year old is from America. Let me know what you think.
I've been super busy with deadlines but a fashion pony press event will be up soon with some fab new designers...

Hong-Kong based Bossini has collaborated with Pixar to create this surreal collection; for men, women and children.

Personally, I LOVE the Mr. Potato Head Hat..

It's kooky and fun but sadly it is only available in the US.

A step too far??
Or to infinity and beyond!!

Skirt Off.

We've seen the pencil skirts on Roland Mouret S/S 12, Jonathan Saunders collection and Carine Roitfeld herself. Are you falling for the pencil skirt?

Here's a look at the best on the high street...

This Dogtooth Panel Pencil Skirt is just £30 from Topshop. Slimming and Stylish.
Not keen on panels? This one will be perfect for you:

 River Island at £20.00.

Not sure if you're ready for this trend? This low price might do the trick.. £9.99
From New Look.

This Topshop Navy Blue Spotted Pencil Skirt is a dream at £26.00.

My personal favourite from Zara at £25.99.
The pencil skirt is very versatile; yes it does go with the obvious shirt however you can be experimental with layering, a chunky knit cardigan or cashmere jumper. A band tee or sheer blouse.

Tights or Bare Legs?

Pretty Polly and HOH have some great tights to play around with.

A nod to the trend with another Zara beauty:

A gorgeous alternative for movement and style at £39.99.

Note To Self: Do NOT forget heels!!

Primark for Selfridge's?!!

Primark will be selling clothes in Selfridge's. It is true.

A big step up in the fashion world with the Bargain Primark franchise being sold in a fashionable well known store such as Selfridge's.
Selfridge's known for its designer labels.

It shows the growing trend for fast fashion with many stores such as Jane Norman struggling in the recent climate.

The store will be hosting Primark in the Bullring, Birmingham, on Monday, followed by another concession at Selfridge's store in Manchester's Trafford Centre in the middle of November.

"Revealing the move, trade magazine Retail Week said it was the first time Primark will have opened a concession anywhere. It is understood the two firms were in talks for more than a year over the collaboration."

"Insiders say that as yet there are no plans to extend the tie-up to Selfridge's Oxford Street flagship store or its branch in Exchange Square, central Manchester."

It should boost menswear sales and create a new consumer from this new franchise. Prices will be remaining low.

Towie Takeover

Personally I can not stand The Only Way Is Essex, but it seems the public have a love for the high matinence Essex style with the new retail collaboration by Sam and Billie Fairs.

The new line, from Sam and Billie is called 'GraciEve'.
From tomorrow it will be avaliable in 15 House Of Fraser stores nationwide, and online.

Here is a sneak peek:

Dress, £60, by GraciEve

Top, £48; shorts, £42

Taking an objective view on Towie I have to say the line is very bold. The garments seem overpriced, however I can see it being a hit with young teenagers and fans.

It seems Lauren is showcasing her collection soon aswell.
And so it continues, what will be next for this reality infatuation...?

Wannabe designers heading to university you are going the wrong way to create your own line, reality television is apparently all the credentials you need.

H&M: The A/W Coat Of Choice.

The winter coat is a staple and if chosen correctly can see you through many long winters. A winter jacket should be timeless, fashionable and well made.
I have looked at H&M for three winter coats:

Jacket £79.99

A fail safe leather jacket with an edge. The gorgeous russet brown is bold and smart; complimented with black woven sleeves and a subtle black neckline that adds character and class. The simple drawwaist creates a ladylike silhouette.

Parka £69.99

The parka makes a return. The khaki is back on the high street. This parka is perfect in the winter weather, substainable, suitable and fashionable. A feminine drawstring waist highlights the waist with a detachable fur trim for different looks.  It's very chic.

For the money-conscious who still haven't made their mind up, here's my other possibility:

Coat £24.99

A gorgeous double-breasted coat avaliable in black, blue or my personal favourite light camel. The character of this jacket makes this a steal at £24.99.

So good luck picking your A/W coat, choose wisely...

M&S gets hot with new line 'Autograph'.

To be more precise Rosie-Huntington-Whiteley Hot.

.. And it just gets better, not only will the Transformers star and model be seen on the infamous M&S billboards but so will the beautiful Ryan Reynolds,

.. followed by the smoldering David Gandy.
It will certainly transform the consumer age group with the new M&S 'Autograph' line for the Autumn 2011 'high end' campaign.
