Derby Fashion Graduate Show

I wasn't disappointed. I'll put pictures up tomorrow or a later date as my camera was charged in preparation for the show. Some collections were so-so and some were fabulous; you could see them on any catwalk, any high street high end store. However in my own and completely honest opinion Nottingham Uni triumphed overall. Obviously i have Huddersfield left to look at and further compare. I enjoyed the show i have four favorites that were stunning. I liked how the collections had names which differed from the Nottingham show giving a more professional and personal take on each persons individual collection.

  ..anticipation for Derby Graduate Fashion Show and Huddersfield University Fashion Show over the coming weeks. Unfortunately all of Derby Fashion Shows VIP tickets were sold out, however Huddersfield offer 4 days of a static show ensuring you get to look at the collections in closer detail. Having to write a paper on the Huddersfield show i hope my interviewing and scrutinizing of quality techniques are up to stance.

I'm excited to see how they compare to the undeniable flawless Nottingham University Fashion Show.

Nottingham University Graduate Show 2011

Taken by myself at Nottingham Fashion Degree Show. Unfortunately my camera died after two shows. The work was its best i've seen for university students. Pieces looked ready for the catwalk or top high street stores. Sculptured, technically very good and with strong silhouettes. Each student compiled pieces that looked strong, fashionable and very desirable. My favourite pieces were endless. A cute plastic raincoat and skirt that was 60s inspired, a miu miu inspired collection, a leather cape; indented with flowers and beautiful dresses that i just wanted then and there.
